Eastcote Hockey & Badminton Club have decided to withdraw its planning application for an artificial grass pitch at Kings College Playing Fields Ruislip due to be considered at a Planning meeting scheduled on Tuesday 26th March.

From the beginning of this project the club have always set out to satisfy all planning and environmental requirements to secure a positive Officers' recommendation to the Planning Committee. Earlier applications were withdrawn when previously unadvised issues were raised too late to be resolved in the timescale of the planning application process.

Despite having worked tirelessly with the Planning Department and other agencies since withdrawing the previous application last Spring, yet again new points have now been raised in the Officer's Report leading to a recommendation for refusal. This late notification has not left the club sufficient time to address these new issues before the planning meeting. The club's request to the council for a postponement to a later meeting has been denied making it impossible to address these new factors.

The club will be examining the new matters identified by the planning department, engaging with them and other agencies and taking professional advice with a view to submitting a revised planning application in due course.
